Natural Medicine
After retirement, Hilda pursued a secondary career in naturopathic medicine in Nigeria's Premier College of Natural Medicine. This decision was enthused by some health challenges she experienced for several years which almost left her paralyzed. Her natural health core education and extensive experience birthed The Divine Health Clinic and Health Food Store in Lagos, Nigeria. Divine Health served as a business outfit as well as a care ministry. As a result of her contributions to the institutionalizing and practice of natural medicine in Nigeria, Hilda has been awarded several recognitions and awards, including the Emancipation & Promotion of Alternative Medicine and the Natural Medicine Award for Distinguished Practitioner of the Year in 2004. As a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), Ms. Adokpaye continues to share her passion for natural health through her published articles.
The Call, The Vision
In November 1998, Ms. Hilda Adokpaye heard a call to ministry with the words from Psalms 68:11 "the Lord gave the word and great was the company of those that published it". Given her background in scriptwriting and media, she presumed the message to be a prophecy that she would someday publish books that would share the message of God around the world. As a believer for over twenty-five years, she had been constantly pushed into warfare prayers seeking solutions to problems, which unknown to her then, were divinely orchestrated to move her out of her comfort zone into her divine destiny via nurture in the school of spiritual warfare. During the tough years of "wilderness experiences" she was used by the Lord in various leadership roles within The Church, where through God's glory and praise, she continued to display an anointing and passion for souls through the gifts of service teaching, preaching and intercession. Shortly after her arrival in the United States, in May 2005 she began her service in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as an Outreach Director for the families displaced by Hurricane Katrina under the Chapel on Campus, a non-denominational church on the Louisiana State University Campus. Today, Ms. Adokpaye continues to serve her community through active participation, coordination, and networking of Apostolic Believers in intercessory prayers for their families and communities.
The Response
The Response
The Church of Christ has been called by so many different names and tags in the last century, except the one that wholly describes her function in the world today; an Army, and a formidable one at that. Nevertheless, the Twenty-First Century Church will be anything but powerless! The Church has been somewhat lukewarm in the past decades in pursuing Her purpose as the "Salt and Light" of the world. Nevertheless, she is today strategically positioned to institute The Kingdom of God here on Earth. This is realizable "neither by power, nor by might...but by the Spirit of God". Today, The Church is poised for restoration and has been awakened to Her rightful authority. The very process of restoration has already begun, preceded of course by the reformation and manifestation of the five-fold ministry gifts to The Church. A key part of the reformation is raising up a standard against the enemy by adopting a new strategy by making sure our best defense is a good offense. For it is written in The Word of God in Isaiah 28:6 "great strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate". In these last days, The Church has by Revelation come to understand that she is empowered to function as the enforcement agency entrusted to declare and manifest the victory of Calvary. The Lord has to this end raised an army unto Himself to manifest TheKingdom authority and power. Thereby, said Army will impact families, communities, the pulpit, the media, the judiciary, and the world at large.
